Real men trust God for the strength to lift those around them up. Our Mens Breakfast is an opportunity to fellowship and do just that. Join us at a casual gathering of brothers in Christ on the second Saturday of the month at 6:45am at Marie's Diner in LaPlata. By the way, those pancakes are huge! See calendar.
God gave us a mission to spread His Word throughout all the world. Our volunteers answer His call by faithfully ministering in Ghana, Africa. This mission directly interacts with communities by placing children in school where they are openly taught about God's Word and His love along with traditional studies. Check them out on Facebook.
Days for Girls Welcome is group of people working with a common goal in conjunction with School Angels ministry to provide sustainable, washable feminine hygiene kits to girls in Ghana, Africa. We are not an official DFG chapter at this time, but recognize the impact their design can have in helping these girls stay in school with an opportunity that most in our culture take for granted.
God's creation is full of His beautiful music and He has put a song in our soul. Whether you make a joyful noise or you have the voice of an angel, one of the truest forms of worship is through music. Join us in lifting our praises to Him through a blend of traditional and contemporary styles. If you would like to share your talent, talk to one of our worship leaders about special music opportunities.
Our youth group is called the Jesus Mafia. No, not a malevolent multitude of misguided miscreants, but a small influential group of Christ-centered family of friends. Our youth reach out into our local community and nationally to lend their young but capable hands to those in need.
From Memorial Day to Labor Day, First Baptist Welcome partners with Goose Bay Marina to provide a Sunday morning service under the campground pavilion at 9am. Please view the calendar page for specific dates. There will be no Sunday morning bible study at FBC Welcome during these dates, but Sunday morning service will still commence at 11:00am.
Just before the main message of Sunday Service, the kids have the opportunity to go downstairs with one of our rotating teacher/volunteers for a wonderful lesson targeted for their age level.
Church Family Cookbook
We appreciate any reason to get together as a church family to share meals. We have many awesome cooks that have kept us healthy with fabulous culinary delights. With this in mind, Kirstie Olson is in the process of collecting recipes to fill up a cookbook so each of us can enjoy many of these dishes any time we want. Feel free to contact her through this website to share your own!

Would you be interested in learning new ways to document and express your faith? Jenn Hamilton will host a Bible Journaling class at her house starting on March 31st, from 6-8pm. This fellowship event is open to everyone and supplies will be provided. Your appetite is welcome, too, because meals will be provided (see, another reason to get together and eat)!
It’s likely you have a giant in your life. It’s holding you captive, intimidating you with its taunts, and stealing your joy. Adversaries such as fear, anger, addiction, and others can stake a claim and, before you know it, gain a foothold in your heart. How do you live as if these giants are dead and silenced once and for all? In this six-session video Bible study, Louie Giglio examines the David and Goliath story to show you how: by focusing on the size of our God, not the height of your giants. As they go down, you gain freedom to walk in the victory Christ already won over the enemies that rob you of God’s best for your life.
